Students Take Charge of Community Engagement
OHIO's chemistry fraternity is very active. Activities include organizing the Family Science Saturday in the spring, participating in West Elementary's Haunted Halloween, and helping the department with the Ohio Chemistry Contest and the District Science Fair.
Supported by a grant from AEP Ohio, the STEAM Team is working in collaboration with the Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery to bring peer-led science engagement experiences to community events in the region.
Recent Scholarly Conferences Hosted at OHIO
Chemistry faculty hosted the 6th International Conference on Cucurbiturils (ICCB 2019) in Athens, Ohio.
Ohio Inorganic Weekend is a student-focused meeting for inorganic chemistry groups in Ohio and nearby states.
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry was pleased to host the 2017 Midwestern Universities Analytical Chemistry Conference (MUACC).
