How To Get Started
Freshman Applicants: To apply as a freshman, applicants must complete the Ohio University Regional Campus Application (download here[PDF]) and return it to the Admissions Office with a non-refundable $20 application fee or apply (online here). Official high school transcripts or a copy of GED scores must be sent directly to the Admissions Office address listed below. Students with a home school background please review the home school admission policy for more information.
Transfer Students: To apply as a transfer student, applicants must complete the Ohio University Regional Campus Application (download here [PDF]) and return it to the Admissions Office with a non-refundable $20 application fee or apply (online here). Transcripts from all colleges previously attended must be sent directly to the Admissions Office address listed below.
Summer-Only Students: Students who are currently enrolled at another college or university and intend to take courses at OHIO to transfer to a home institution must complete the Ohio University Regional Campus Application application (online here). No application fee is required. Students must meet all course pre-requisites. Students are required to submit an official transcript to the Admissions Office address listed below or electronically.
Re-Enrolling Students: If you have previously attended ANY Ohio University campus as a degree-seeking student, you DO NOT need to reapply! Please submit a Re-Enrollment Form (download here [PDF]). If you have questions please contact the Student Services Office at 740.774.7240 or 877.462.6824.
College Credit Plus Students: OHIO Chillicothe is pleased to offer College Credit Plus (CC+) opportunities to area middle and high school students. All interested students are encouraged to carefully read and complete the CC+ Application (online here) and return it to the Recruitment Office. The admission process for the CC+ program on any of OHIO's regional campuses is modeled on our review process in place for degree-seeking freshman enrollment. Admission - Fact Sheet
To enroll as a student at OHIO Chillicothe, a student must have a high school diploma or GED. The Chillicothe campus recommends that students apply at least one month before the start of any term so they have time to have their application and transcripts processed, attend advising and registration to register for classes and complete the financial aid process, if necessary.

Open House Fridays
You are cordially invited to visit the Ohio University Chillicothe Campus. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to talk with students, staff, and faculty, tour the campus, and experience the campus firsthand. Open House Friday’s include a campus tour as well as hands-on assistance with the application and financial aid process.
All new, incoming freshmen that have not taken the ACT or SAT in the last two years, and transfer students who have not received transfer credit for freshman-level math and/or English, must take exams to assess their writing, reading, and math skills. Advising & Registration
Students are required to attend an advising & registration session which is designed to acquaint new students with the campus. Students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with admissions, registration, and financial aid policies and procedures; meet with academic advisors to plan their schedules, and spend time with Chillicothe campus faculty discussing how they can best prepare for the first day of classes. In addition, students will be introduced to the campus, library, bookstore, Information & Technology Services, athletics and activities department. Student Photo ID's
Ohio University ID card photos for students, faculty and staff can be taken in the Admissions and Registration Office located in Bennett Hall.
Your Ohio University ID card is used to verify your status as a student, faculty or staff member.
Services that require a valid ID Card include:
- Faculty/Staff e-mail activation and password resets
- Bobcat Depot - to purchase software/hardware/apparel/accessories, etc.
- Other locations across campus may also require your Ohio University ID!
- Protect your ID card the same way you would a credit card!
There is a $10.00 charge for a replacement ID card if your card is lost or stolen.
